Electricians in Post Falls, ID

14 businesses listed

Post Falls has made electricity from the Spokane River for more than a century. Washington Water Power, now Avista, finished the powerhouse at the falls in 1906, and the city's history of the site says its line to mines nearly 100 miles away was the longest high-voltage transmission line in the world at the time. The plant still runs, with a capacity of 14.75 megawatts.

Wiring rules inside town changed in 2015. Electrical permits issued before July 9 of that year fell under the state Division of Building Safety; since then the City of Post Falls has issued its own electrical permits and done its own inspections. The Idaho Electrical Board licenses electricians and electrical contractors.

Before work starts, ask whether the job needs a city permit and who will pull it.

About these listings

Every business on this page is listed with public facts only: name, street address, phone number, category and opening hours where we have them. We do not publish reviews, star ratings, review counts or photographs, and we do not publish business email addresses.

Many of these listings do not show a website link. That is deliberate. We compiled them from public records and we would rather a business owner tell us their own URL than guess at it. If one of these is your business, open its listing and use the update link, or request removal. A person reads either request.
